Illustration

These are pieces I did after the Tsunami struck Indonesia and other countries in 2004. They are pretty literal pieces, drawn from newspapers and TV in reference to people speaking of the ghosts of those no longer there. Studies really. I felt that they captured the sense of loss I saw in the survivors. It is the same thing in the faces of the people who survived the earthquake in Haiti, the aloneness and loss of friends and family.
